Leeds band Hope & Social will release their debut album, “Architect of this Church”, via the Alamo Music record label on 6th July.

And in a unique move the band have decided to allow fans to choose how much they wish to pay for it.

As well as the donation-based CD format and Digital Download versions of the album, fans can also opt to buy the standard CD package, which comes as a box-set with hymn book.

The album has taken nearly two years to make and was recorded in a church in West Yorkshire. It features 10 tracks: 1. Living A Lie 2. Stuck Like Glue 3. Sunlight Hold Me 4. Drink the Drink 5. King of Spain 6. In Hope 7. Do What You Must 8. Red Red Rose 9. Looking For Answers 10. San Francisco.

To celebrate the release of the album the band will perform an acoustic set at Mojo in Leeds on Saturday 6th June. This event will feature an album playback at the venue.

On Thursday 11th June the band will play a full live launch party show at The Library.

In other news, the band has been asked to play twice at the Glastonbury 2009 festival, with a headlining set on the Emerging Talent part of the Queens Head stage on Friday 26th June. The following day the band will appear live in the Acoustic Tent.

Both sets will begin at 3pm.

For those in the area, the band will be appearing live on Worthy FM on Thursday at 2pm.
