Leeds independent record label Dance To The Radio (DTTR) will return to the Leeds Festival for the third year to host their special ‘Welcome To Leeds’ party.

Kicking off the festival’s musical entertainment early, the label has hand-picked five amazing bands to play on the BBC Introducing Stage on the Thursday night (27th August) from 7pm.

In previous years the Thursday DTTR event has seen bands such as Dinosaur Pile-Up, Sky Larkin, ¡Forward, Russia!, Broken Records and Grammatics play, and in 2008 it was Leeds band The Pigeon Detectives who headlined the opening night.

The bands playing this year are Blood Red Shoes, Wild Beasts, Bear Hands, Airship and Holy State.
