Leeds bands The Pigeon Detectives and The Cribs have teamed up with 96.3 Radio Aire to raise money for neglected children in Leeds and West Yorkshire.

The Cribs have made available their cover of Kaiser Chiefs ‘Modern Way’, while The Pigeon Detectives have recorded a special version of ‘Tainted Love’, made famous by Soft Cell.

All of the profits from the tracks will be going to the ‘Cash for Kids’ Appeal being run by the Action For Children charity. The Appeal is raising money to make a difference to the lives of neglected children in Leeds and West Yorkshire.

You can download both tracks now through iTunes - Tainted Love and Modern Way - and you can find out more about Action For Children here: www.actionforchildren.org.uk.

Earlier this month, The Pigeon Detectives were raising awareness for the Martin House Children's Hospice’s and their launch of Centre Stage, a musical talent competition offering one lucky school band the opportunity to appear at Leeds Festival 2010.
