We Doctors of Music Journalism call this rare occurrence the Siamese Twist.

And would it surprise you to learn that Siamese Twist is also the name of a female-fronted, five-piece band from West Yorkshire, whose thrilling post-punk pop is capable of exactly the effect mentioned....

Singer Rebecca's vocals are a beguiling blend of Siouxsie Sioux, PJ Harvey and Sandie Shaw, weaving their way through a tense, melodic mesh of interlocking guitars, monolithic bass and tight, on-the-money drumming.

Dramatic, romantic, and drawing on the darker side of ambitious '80s alternative rock- The Chameleons, Skeletal Family, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Church, Bauhaus and even early U2, it certainly aims higher and reaches further than your average run-of-the-mill indie fare.
