Leeds band Black Diamond Bay have announced the release of a new single, 'Little Pools of Ice', which follows the band's long-awaited debut album 'Come the Desert'.

Jesse Mahoney from the band says "It's song about the student protests back in the freezing cold winter months. It was the anger and the unwillingness of students to be cowed by the weather or the state that left a big impression on us. If you've ever been kettled by a British Police Officer, this song is dedicated to you."

To celebrate the release, Black Diamond Bay will be appearing live at The Library on 13th May, with support from Hayashi, Boxsmash and Eclectic.

'Little Pools of Ice' is available from all major download sites from Monday 6th June 2011.
