Transmission Promotions today announced the location of the new home for their groundbreaking slant on live music. From 31st July, the Leeds-based promoters will be putting on shows at a brand new music venue in the city. Through Transmission, The Vine on The Headrow (just around the corner from the former site of the legendary Leeds Duchess) will host a series of gigs throughout August and September, building up to a full line-up of exciting nights in the autumn.

Exciting Warner Chappell signings, Leeds' 10,000 Things will launch the new venture with a show on Thursday 31st August, with support from Pylon plus The Cribs.

Thursday nights will be a key fixture, showcasing the established transmission music policy of hot acts with a national profile plus the cream of the local music scene. Transmission DJs will play the coolest records in the known universe in between and after the bands. Thursdays will kicks off at 8pm with £3 entry on the door and a late bar until 1am.

Already confirmed for forthcoming gigs are The Somatics, the Beggars Banquet three-piece who feature Ex-Ultrasound guitarist Richard Green; Glaswegian rock experimentalists [cayto]; horned-up punkrockers Buzzkill and Doves-ey electronic heores Parisman.

A transmission all-dayer on Sunday 31st August will be just one of many highlights in August with no less than six bands already confirmed. Dates will be available to other promoters or any bands wishing to play this great new venue, with any bookings via transmission.
