Organisers of Slam Dunk Festival have today revealed more bands set to appear at the event in May.

Announced as this year's "special guests", Funeral For A Friend were today added to the bill.

The band were noticeably excited about their inclusion at Slam Dunk 2012, with vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye saying, "Slam Dunk is gonna be full on. We're beyond excited for this, we've been itching to play since our last shows at the end of 2011 so be prepared for some in your face action!"

Also added to the bill are current DIY magazine cover stars Canterbury and Yorkshire's math-core merchants Marmozets.

The trio of new bands join a line up that already includes Taking Back Sunday, Architects, Every Time I Die, Cancer Bats and many more.

As part of this morning's announcement, Slam Dunk 2012 organisers also revealed the headliners for the Acoustic Stage and the Dance Stage, with Charlie Simpson headlining the former and Hadouken! taking on the latter with a DJ set.

Charlie Simpson will be performing an exclusive stripped-down intimate show on the Acoustic Stage, and will be supported during the day by Into It Over It, Shane Henderson and Rob Lynch.

A DJ set from Hadouken! will close the Dance Stage, with more acts set to be announced over the coming weeks.

Slam Dunk tickets are priced at £32.50 available from www.seetickets.com.
