This is an archive of the band profile for The Camisado Project.

The Camisado Project is an exciting band made up of some of the best young talent on the Leeds music scene. Playing an exciting, hard hitting brand of funk & soul similar to the likes of James Brown, the band also prides itself on the softer aspects of the genre, taking inspiration from Amy Winehouse and Al Green to name but a few. Formed from the core of a band originally from Lancaster, The Camisado Project is a tight outfit that has an experienced and mature approach to music. The group plays it's own arrangements of songs from classic and current Funk, Soul, Rock, and Pop artists, creating an electric atmosphere which gets everyone moving. It also writes its own material, fresh and exciting, coming from the genius of Kentish singer-songwriter, Phoebe Katis (Vocals) and the arranging skills of the band's MDs, Connor Gallagher (Guitar) and Ciaran Diston (Trumpet). The Camisado Project's five piece horn section also separates it from the crowd, inspired by the great Tower of Power, the section makes a massive, luscious sound unrivalled by most bands on the scene today..
