One of Leeds' longest serving bands The Scaramanga Six are set to release their 7th album 'Phantom Head' on 1st April through Wrath Records.

The record was produced by Steve Albini at his studio in Chicago and you can check out the track 'Blunt Force Trauma' below.

The Scaramanga Six are arguably one of the most prolific and unique underground rock bands in the UK. The group have their home in the gloomy Yorkshire town of Huddersfield and are based around the dual tyranny of twin brothers Paul and Steven Morricone with Julia Arnez on guitars and Gareth Champion on the traps.

A self-styled 'evil version of a pop group', the band's trademarks are a mish-mash of finely crafted melodies, guttural howls, soaring croons, abrasive and punky arrangements, encyclopaedic musical references and dark subject matter, all delivered with ferocious self-confidence.

'Phantom Head' was recorded with Steve Albini in his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago. It will be released on 12" vinyl, CD and digital formats by Wrath Records, with distribution through The Genepool.

The Scaramanga Six have lined up a date in Leeds at the Brudenell Social Club on May 11th supporting Eureka Machines.
