This is an archive of the band profile for Hood.

Based loosely around brothers Chris and Richard Adams and friends to hand, Hood have positioned themselves, over a series of albums, in a unique point in modern UK sound craft.

Mapping the territory of their native Yorkshire in sometimes haunted, sometimes passively angry, but always abstract and melodic song cycles the Hood sound is rural, English, submerging. Their most recent collection 2001's "Cold House" is a deft configuration of song, glitch and atmosphere featuring guest spots from fellow travelers Why? and Dose 1 of Anticon’s cLOUDDEAD. Both ancient and modern the album clicks and beats around a consciousness, space and time of its own..
