Now in its fourth year, the eagerly anticipated Centre Stage 2013 is upon us and is set to bring local, young bands and artists into the limelight.

The heats will take place at The Wardrobe on Tuesday April 23rd, Wednesday April 24th and Thursday April 25th and will once again provide a platform for some of the region's finest young bands and acts. All artists are under 21 years old, with at least one band member at school or college in West or North Yorkshire.

The overall winners of Centre Stage 2013 - decided at the July final - will appear at both sites of the Reading and Leeds Festivals 2013 in August.

The line ups for the heats are (note: not the running order):

TUESDAY 23RD APRIL: Traffic Wire, Walking With Wolves, King No-One, Icarus, Forgetting Yesterday, Good Morning Neverland, Jacobean Ruff

WEDNESDAY 24TH APRIL: Never Ending Reason, The Puppeteers, Roman Bison, Albion, Chemical Child, Pony and Trap, The Amazing Scuba Divers, Urban Outcry

THURSDAY 25TH APRIL: Liquid Brick, Quentins Basement, Frequency (now known as Conflare), SimpleSight, Headwire, The Blue Pelicans, The Imports, Yo Preston

Each of the selected bands are currently fundraising towards Martin House Children's Hospice, who cares for children and young adults, with life limiting illnesses, and also for their families. The perfect example of young people helping young people.

Doors will open each night at 6.15pm with the first band at 7pm. The event is pay on the door £4 with proceeds going to Martin House Children's Hospice.
