This is a review of "s/t" recorded by Four Planes in Four Days. The review was written by Dave Sugden in 2003.

The Four Planes... staple diet is chilled, laidback post-rock. Laid bare and unobtrusive at times, luxurious with rich guitar edginess at others, always alleviating and utterly brilliant. Beginning with the Midnight Express sample from which they took their name, the 5-track EP delivers melancholy throughout along with appealing, softly softly (yet sparse) vocals and trumpet playing that offsets it all. If this is their white, the black is thunderous post-rock guitar thrashing, which completes a captivating, quite delightful CD.
