A new collective of producers, DJs, promoters and artists have come together to form the ReWrite project, a new night starting at The Faversham on 3rd November that organisers hope “will rejuvenate the Leeds music scene and bring like-minded people together”.

The premise of the night is simple: producers and musicians bring along one track each, the best of those submitted will be played on a club system to a crowd of like-minded music lovers and creators. The track must be electronica-based, but doesn't have to be a finished piece of work; demos, edits, remixes and simple works in progress will all be accepted.

As the collective explain, the purpose of the night is to pay tribute to the diversity of music being created in Leeds, Manchester and other northern cities, “whilst drawing peers together and strengthening the scene of independent music makers and bedroom producers”.
