Yorkshire and the North East Radio Station of the Year, Fresh Radio, has launched a brand new show – aimed at giving unsigned acts valuable airplay.

The show, hosted by Laurence Budd, and aired every Sunday at 7pm, has already featured Leeds acts such as Ali Whitton, Duncan MacFarlane and Wrestling Jacob, and now wants to hear from other local acts.

Broadcasting the first show, Laurence said: “Finally, unsigned acts across the region have a platform to have their music played to thousands of people – I don’t care if it’s recorded in a multi-track studio, or in an upstairs bedroom - whether it’s folk, jazz, metal, trip-hop or pop - if it sounds good, then it’ll get played! But it’s down to the artists – the show simply cannot exist without them – so get those demos in!”
