This is a review of "Untitled" recorded by Virginia Creep. The review was written by Danny Martin in 2005.

Those who like rock raw and unpretentious, soaked in the blood of raged guitar and ear assaulting bass recorded in the Pit Of Hell should adore Virginia Creep. Christ I know I do.

“Nothin but an Animal” pistol-whips you into submission from the off. Vocal boy Ryan Carl is the Brits' answer to Caleb Followill, a pissed up dirty grit filled voice. Slurring his way through the constant barrage of insane guitar breaks, cranked up bass and a snare which comes whiskers away from destroying your eardrums.

“Been Cryin” and “Money” calm the whole affair down slightly, we even hear the soothing sound of some delightful strings pads offered into the mixing bowl. And although coming amidst the same haze of dirt and vomit vocals, it seems to work beautifully.

Live they are rumoured to be a treat, and hearing this I feel and urge to experience that. No bollocks rock with a glint of smoothness, which tip toes alongside the grime. Baton down the hatches and lock up your daughters, Virginia Creep are here to stay people.
