Three of the region's bands have taken over the UK Top 40 Charts this May Bank Holiday. The Pigeon Detectives secured their second Top 20 hit single with their re-release this week of "I'm Not Sorry". The single went into the charts at number 12.

Kaiser Chiefs hold two chart places this weekend, with "Everything Is Average Nowadays" reaching number 19, and "Ruby" still sitting sweetly at number 23.

The Cribs retain their chart spot (number 28) for another week with "Men's Needs".

All three bands have albums out now, or next week in the case of The Pigeon Detectives.

The Cribs entered the UK Album Charts this weekend at number 13.
